KN in Rand / CDC Report on H1N1

Harris

JAMA has covered two articles by Katherine Harris of RAND et al, citing findings from their studies for the CDC:

The New England Journal of Medicine (12/2/10 issue) featured an article by Katherine Harris of RAND et al citing the 2009 article on H1N1 vaccine update. The alarming statistic is that less than half of all adults were willing to get vaccinated at the outset of the pandemic.

Read our interview with Katherine Harris.

In April 2010, The New York Times ran two articles on it:

  • "Prevention: More Health Care Workers Got Flu Shots This Season" mentioned that roughly half of hospital workers received the H1N1 vaccine
  • "They Should Know Better," which also focused on this fact (only half of this group was inoculated)
