These surveys are mostly conducted through subcontracts to Principle Investigators within universities, academic research centers, and other research firms. Based on this experience, Knowledge Networks also can serve as a prime contractor directly to Federal statistical agencies through its U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) contract. GSA awarded Knowledge Networks a 20-year contract for conducting online survey research services directly for the Federal Government, and Federal agencies can now use this contracting vehicle to work directly with Knowledge Networks. This capability allows Federal agencies to contract directly with Knowledge Networks in a quick, efficient manner for those projects where a direct contract with Knowledge Networks is in the Federal agencies' interest.
