RESEARCH ANALYST, Panel Management - Menlo Park, CA
The research analyst works closely with the director of Panel Management to assist in conducting quantitative research plus designing and generating reports essential for monitoring demographic characteristics and other metrics describing KnowledgePanel®. This research and monitoring effort impacts improvements in the panel recruitment process, the management of incentive programs, understanding the dynamics of member attrition, evaluating panel communications, and other direct operational activities. This is a key data analyst position requiring a high degree of accuracy and diligence in working with large data files and complex data systems. An understanding of survey methods and/or experience in a survey research environment is highly desirable. The job is essentially hands-on data work using standard statistical software and does not involve client contact, marketing or selling.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Panel Management team to design, implement and evaluate experiments to improve recruitment and retention of KnowledgePanel® members
- Generate routine reports for monitoring key panel metrics
- Design and generate custom data reports on panel dynamics for client services and other management teams as directed
- Perform data analyses for Panel Relations to improve efficacy of panel communications
- Generate data to monitor and evaluate outsourced recruitment services
- Participate in special projects by providing data support as necessary
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SAS, SPSS, MS Excel and other MS Word; working knowledge SQL helpful
- 2+ years relevant experience in a survey research or market research environment
- Bachelor's degree (Masters or higher preferred) in a social science or quantitative field
- Experience with data management and data reporting using multiple databases
- Strength in data analysis, project management, communications and creative problem solving
- Ability to self-manage several projects at a time
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills and commitment to accuracy
