GRAPHIC SERVICES ANALYST - New York, NY
The Graphic Services Department is responsible for coordinating work between Knowledge Networks and various outsourcing partners. The GS Department is part of Knowledge Networks Operations Team, and is responsible for supporting Data Processing, Graphic Services and Coding. Working with limited supervision, the GS Analyst would initially be responsible for supporting Graphic Services production, and eventually take on responsibility within other parts of the GS Dept. The GS Analyst will be responsible for managing our GS capacity internally and externally, overseeing project data handling in the Graphic Services workflow phase, cleaning and creating data files, checking documentation from Client Services, and handling invoicing. Overall, process includes project communication/coordination, trouble shooting, quality checking and data handling for Graphic Services. This is a key role in the governance and support of Knowledge Networks strategic offshore initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in managing GS internal/external partners
- Updating/Overseeing GS schedule and assignment of studies
- Monitoring studies through the graphic services phase
- Acting as a liaison between GS partners and Client Services for trouble shooting and problem resolution
- Managing adherence to Knowledge Networks standards
- Attending study kick off calls and helping Client Services plan their production needs
- Help with report writing in Power Point including posting data and creating slides when other resources are limited
- Checking Spec and other documentation from Client Services to make sure proper templates are used and all the appropriate information is included and spec'd correctly
- Invoicing
- Organize and maintain invoice database
- Organize and maintain invoice files
- Fulfilling the role of a DHP (a Data Handling Professional) and mentoring new DHPs. This role involves creating SPSS deliverables, weighting files and disposition reports.
- Participate in workflow meetings and assist in changing workflow
Additional Responsiblities & Skills:
- Develop overall understanding of Market Research and Knowledge Networks products and services.
- Ability to learn quickly, respond flexibly, maintain focus under pressure, and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Assist in managing DP and Coding Vendors
- Updating/Overseeing DP vendor schedule and assignment of studies
- Monitoring studies through the data processing phase
- Acting as a liaison between vendors and PM for trouble shooting and problem resolution
- Alerting vendors of changes to KN standards
- Attending kick off calls and helping Client Service plan their DP needs
- Formatting and cleaning data for coding vendors while overseeing coding process
- Sending data files between Stats, CS, Coding and DP
- Extracting data from Server
- Sending partial and final closed end data to DP Vendor
- Sending partial and final open ended data to Coding Vendor
Education/Experience Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Psychology, Sociology, Marketing or similar discipline with a basic understanding of the research process and statistics
- Experience in handling research data preferred
- Experience with MS Office 2000 products required. Experience with SPSS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
